São João Party – Vila do Conde

The São João Festival 2025 in Vila do Conde will take place from May 31 to June 24, celebrating one of the municipality’s most iconic popular traditions.

The official opening is set for May 31, beginning with a salvo of fireworks and street performances by the traditional drumming group “Os Vilacondenses.”
At 9:15 PM, the traditional São João lights will be switched on, followed at 9:30 PM by a much-anticipated concert by the band Amália Hoje at the Cais da Alfândega.
For nearly a month, the city will host a rich and diverse cultural program, including concerts, parades, religious events, fairs, and ethnographic displays, bringing together people of all ages in a joyful celebration of tradition and community.
